it rained, which i was happy about because it washed away the pollution, and helped melt some of the snow and ice that had been making it impossible to park anywhere.
new shoes. they make me feel grown-up. they were only $3, on sale at old navy. i was coveting them way back when they cost $30, so this was quite a steal
andy and i went for an evening walk (despite the icy sidewalks) and i totally loved photographing this shrub because it reminded of an aerial shot of a two dimensional forest.

this is a leaf off of my rubbertree plant. i love how glossy they are.
so as you may have noticed, most of my images so far have just been around the house things because i put off my daily photo until late at night and my options are limited at that point. i really need to start taking my camera with me everywhere.
todays photo should have been of a plane or an airport, but my nonstop sinus headache and mega-cold symptoms kept me pretty busy while we were traveling. i took this when we got home. to me, it says "these boots weren't really meant for walking. lets stay home from now on"
the first of they year in montreal was spent entertaining family. my dad is a master chef, so the menu was : oyster soup duck in a green pepper sauce potato, carrot, and sweet potato purées cheese platter tarte tatin (french upside down caramel apple pie)
for 2009 i've decided (at the urging of photojojo) to make a new years photo resolution:
i will take a picture every day.
i think this project will help me to open my eyes more and to see the beauty in the ordinary things around me. i've created this blog to post my daily photos, and will do my best to update as often as possible.
