ever wondered what i might look like with a beehive (practically) and tons of makeup?

yeah i hadn't either, but regardless, there's your answer.

my good friend and fellow photographer alisha is trying to decide whether she wants to offer large format bridal portraits, so she asked me to model for a test shoot.
she sent me off to a hair and makeup lady and that's what i ended up with; fake eyelashes and a beehive.

for someone who goes to sleep with wet hair and no intention of brushing it in the morning and barely wears any makeup, it was pretty fun.

when i got home andy said i looked like an air hostess from the sixties (reference to flight of the conchords).

however, removing the fake eyelashes and all that backcombing was not as fun.
ah the things we do for beauty.

anyway, i'll let you know when alisha posts the photos on her blog.

andy and i teach primary, and our class was in charge of sharing time this week.
kind of scary...
i can't say i'm looking forward to the next time. at least we'll have learned our lesson not to give our kids candy beforehand.

on the upside, i had to print some scriptures out, and i dug out an awesome font from my archives (i'm an avid font downloader).

this was my first time using it, but i definitely want to find some excuses to use it again.

it was glorious outside and all i wanted was to spend the day spring cleaning and planting things outside. unfortunately i only had enough time to clean the kitchen. there were, however, some sort of cool shadows and lights in the kitchen.

my dad came to town and we drove to moab. i didn't take any photos. i took a photo of a lamp in our hotel room early the next morning, and i thought about posting it and pretending that it was march 5ths photo. but i'm pretty sure my dad thought it was worthless because it wasn't a photo of red rocks and he deleted it (it was on his point&shoot). at least i haven't seen it since.

i guess i can't get away with dishonesty.
